The history and culture of Aztlan class fulfilled MLO 3. In this class we covered the history and culture of Mexicans living in the south west. We covered multiple time periods from the conquest of South America by Spain, to the post World War two era. This course was very informative about the struggles that faced many of those of Mexican decent. After studying Japanese culture and history it was really interesting to study about a culture and peoples that are completely different in most regards. While Japan had taken a lot of influence from China and Korea, as an island nation they were isolated and even imposed self isolation upon themselves. Knowing that, it was interesting seeing Mexico and America's relationship because they both have so much interaction. Below I have a paper I wrote on social banditry in America.
